The lion lives in the savannah of Africa. It lives in a pride (in a group). The lion is a nocturnal animal. (That means it hunts during the night or dawn.) The lion has got brown fur. It has got four legs and paws. The male lion has got a mane. It´s bigger than the female lion. It weighs up to 180 kg and it´s 115 - 250 cm tall.The female lions go hunting, but the male lions get the biggest bulk of prey: e.g. zebras, antelopes and giraffes. The female lion has two or three cubs at a time.The adult lion has no enemies except human beings and illness.
