The macaw is a bird. It belongs to the parrot family. It is 85 - 95 cm tall and weighs about 2.000 grams. The macaw´s wing span is about 1,30 m.
The macaw lives in the jungle of Brazil, Peru and other countries of South and Central America. It has colourful feathers and a sharp beak.
It likes to eat plants and nuts, seeds, berries and other kinds of fruit.
The macaw can fly and talk. Its enemies are birds of prey and cats of prey.
